I’ve been making photographs for over 40 years. I’ve come to love photographing the unloved things: Anything abandoned, burned out, peeling, overgrown....basically, whatever is forgotten. I like to unearth the singular beauty in these subjects....texture, drama, rich colors, shadows, and amazing sculptural shapes.

I look for images that tell a story somehow, or even just a brief sliver of truth; even though it may be about decay, and losing the battle with nature or commerce or even cultural change. The juxtaposition of "now" and "then" always strikes a chord in these images.

When I’m not shooting an old warehouse or long lost ghost town, I love taking photographs of landscapes, plant life, great architecture, unintentional still lifes, odd signs, old cars, and even the occasional human.
